Flagstone is a popular stone that is used often in building construction and landscaping. It is a sedimentary stone (consisting of fragments of broken preexisting rocks and minerals), and is also a type of sandstone. Flagstone usually contains feldspar and quartz, and is often cemented together naturally with calcium, silica or iron oxide.
